Aforge Private Banking and Family Office
Claude Garnier, 56, was a co-founder of Aforge Finance in 1995. He is joint head of the group in charge of Private Banking & Family Office business.
As a specialist in wealth management, he has carried on this professional activity in a number of financial groups:
- Société Générale bank: design and leadership of training courses in private banking and banking services, client advisory.
- Suez group: wealth management advisory.
- Financière du Galion: design of a method for monitoring the client base, consultant training, relationships linked to investor product prescription, engineering and design.
Lionel Saint Georges Chaumet began his career working in Corporate Banking, for seven years at BFCE followed by four years at Indosuez. He then specialized in advisory services to family firms and private investors at Paribas, and later at BGP Indosuez, for 15 years.
He entered Aforge Finance in 2007 as a Managing Partner and later, from 2008, as General Manager of the Private Banking & Family Office department.
Eric Michel began his career in 1986 at Paine Webber in New-York handling transactions for French clients on the US market. He returned to France in 1990 to form a cash flow audit firm for chief financial officers, FINACAP.
From 1996 to 2002 he worked in the Mathématiques Appliquées SA group, specialists in the development of software engines and programs for dynamic optimization and statistical learn-ing. He was in charge of quantitative analysis optimization systems.
During the years 2002 to 2006, he worked for Banque Crédit Suisse as a manager in charge of development of intra-group synergies. From 2007 to 2008, he was a member of the major investors team at Banque de Gestion Indosuez, Paris. He then went to Intuitu Capital in 2008 as a senior advisor.
He arrived at Aforge in 2010 as Director, Special Missions. Eric Michel is a civil engineer, a graduate of Cerna.
Samuel Redonnet, 45, joined Aforge Finance in 2011.
He has an academic background in History and Art History, supplemented by a DESS post-graduate qualification in business administration (from IAE).
He occupied a number of posts in merchant banking at BNP Paribas from 1992 onwards. In 2005 he was put in charge of the development of wealth management business for BNP Paribas Wealth Management under the Eastern Regional management, as Private Banker for Family Shareholdings.
Jean-François Carron has spent over 35 years advising entrepreneurs and industrial groups. He has also carried out teaching contracts at CNAM, HEC and the University of Paris IX Dauphine, and lectures to professional associations. Jean-François is also the author of articles and other publications on transfers of company ownership and economic and industrial policies.
During his career, Jean-François Carron has been most notably a Director of Mergers & Ac-quisitions at Barclays in Paris, the CGIP group and Financière Agache, and has worked as a consultant for Cegos Group. He went on to form Carron & Cie, an independent mergers & acquisitions consultancy.
He has worked on numerous occasions for very many French and international clients, among them Faiveley, Hamon, Lindsay, LVMH, Sucrerie de Bazancourt and VEV, for example.
Jean-François Carron is a graduate of EDHEC, has a master’s degree in economics from the University of Paris I Assas and a doctorate in management from the University of Paris IX Dauphine.
Aforge Real Estate
Caroline Caroline Dheilly joined Aforge Finance in June 2010 as Director of the Real Estate department.
After starting out in the Suez group as a real estate financing analyst, she went to Goldman Sachs in 1995 to participate in the purchasing activities for real estate debt portfolios. She continued her career in Deloitte’s Corporate Finance department. In 2008 she was Director, Acquisitions and Asset Management for Aberdeen, where she had €4 billion in real estate assets under management.
During her twenty years of professional experience Caroline Dheilly has contributed to major acquisitions for real estate asset portfolios and restructured flagship properties on behalf of international funds.
Aforge Gestion – Asset Management Department
Véronique Salignon is the General Manager of Aforge Gestion.
A graduate of ICN Business School and a certified public accountant, she has a wide range of expertise in organizational and verification activities in the financial sector.
Véronique Salignon began her career in 1986 with Deloitte before going on to join CCF in 1990 to take part in the implementation of trading room information systems. In 1995, she was put in charge of accounting control in the group before becoming, in 2000, General Sec-retary, International Private Banking at HSBC-CCF. In 2004 she was appointed Delegated Chief Executive of Louvre Gestion, a subsidiary of HSBC Private Bank. In 2008, she set up her own independent consultancy providing organizational assistance and targeting banks and management firms.
Anne Fremont is General Manager of Aforge Gestion in charge of financial research and asset management. After entering Aforge Finance in 2002, she headed up macroeconomic research and was joint head of investment strategy and asset allocation.
Anne Fremont has a DEA postgraduate qualification in macroeconomics, modelling and economic trends plus a master’s degree in econometrics. She began her career with OFCE in 1998 and went on to join Ecofi Gestion and later Ofivalmo.
Isabelle Simon is head of alternative management and joint head of traditional fund selection for Aforge Management, which she joined in 2004.
Isabelle Simon has nearly twenty years’ experience in the field of financial management, no-tably as a financial analyst (Caisse des Dépôts), fund manager (GTI Finance/Banque Transatlantique) and an analyst of alternative funds (Montier Partners, London). She has a master’s degree in management from the University of Paris Dauphine and CFAF (financial analysts’ training centre).
Laurent Laurent Gaetani joined Aforge Management in September 2010 as a portfolio manager specializing in rate markets.
He had previously been at AXA IM for ten years as a financial engineer working on asset allocation and risk management, and later as a rate portfolio manager.
Laurent has a DEA postgraduate degree in econometrics with a specialization in quantitative finance and SFAF (French Society of Financial Analysts) and CIIA (Certified International Investment Analyst) qualifications. He was recently awarded certification by the AMF, the French financial markets authority.
Aforge Capital Management, Geneva
A partner in Aforge Finance Holding and a delegated member of the board of Aforge Capital Management in Geneva, Yves Hervieu-Causse heads the development of financial management business for the Aforge group. He leads a team specializing in holistic asset allocation and financial manager selection. Aforge allocation includes all asset classes and all management styles throughout the world, using both traditional and alternative management approaches.
A lawyer by training and holding postgraduate qualifications in law and economics from the University of Geneva, the Institut de Hautes Études Internationales in Geneva and New York University, Yves Hervieu-Causse previously held the post of director at Unigestion in Ge-neva, where for over 12 years he developed activities relating to asset allocation, manager selection, alternative management, investment funds and structured products.
